Mrt Art
I and Dai have stated calling the MRT the "Mert" because why not. I think it's shorter than saying MRT. I like the art in the MRT stops. In one stop there were giant hands you could sit on. At another stop, the staircases had pictures on them. I really liked this mural of a kid sitting in a meadow. I think the artwork in the MRT makes it more colorful and fun to look at. I wish the subways in America were as colorful and clean.

Wow that is so awesome. You must be so excited to be in that subway like a museum.Only in Taipe.People here are always rush, rush .Your very lucky how you could experience the way of living and how other country live theirnormal routine and maintain the beauty of their places.Enjoy all these new adventures.

ReplyDeleteHi Mila! It’s Tita Em. When Tito Lu and I were in the Taipei airport in 2019 we noticed those same beautiful murals!!! We were at the airport super early and no shops or restaurants were really open yet… so we walked and just explored… the murals were inspiring and showed all parts of Taipei — we had no idea how pretty it was! I’m so glad you are there living like a local, riding the nice clean Mert — I barely need to take public transportation anymore and I don’t miss the Bart (yuck!). Keep blogging! We love hearing about your experiences.
ReplyDeleteLove you girl!
Tita Em 💗
I love reading about and seeing pictures of your everyday life in addition to the bigger adventures. The murals in these pictures are beautiful. BART could certainly learn something about beauty and cleanliness from the people at MRT!
