Welcome To Our 6 Month Home

I think 7-11 is our new favorite place, we go there almost every day. It’s very helpful you know. You can print things, get lunch, and get SmartCards there. 7-11 might not be Dai’s new favorite place though, he found a small shop that makes the best Green Onion Pancakes. They are so yummy. It’s his new Mod Pizza or Subway (his other favorite places).

The Green Onion Pancake place is super close to our new apartment. The day before we went to go see it, it’s very clean… also the floors are very hard, it hurts my feet. We
had to move all of our things from Carol’s house to our new place. Let me remind you, 9 big suitcases, 4 small suitcases, and a bunch of little bags all piled up in front of the security guard's desk, next to the main door. People kept walking in and out eyeing the luggage. I just waved at them like 16 bags were a normal thing to have in the lobby. It took 2 mini, Minivans to get all the stuff to the house. The Uber driver looked confused but I had a conversation, in Chinese might I add, so he knew our whole plan. That night I slept on a Japanese bed because I didn’t have a mattress. It was quite hard, but it was ok for one night.

  1. I have to thank that UBER driver. I felt like after you chatted with him during that particular drive, your confidence in speaking Mandarin just shot up through the roof.

  2. 7-11 is my favorite as well!! I also enjoy listening to the report and hearing the door bell every time when people pass by lol... You got to try the tea egg I used to have it whenever I can. Also, the sweet potato is my aunt favorite. I finally got to see the playground. Ohh man, Dai has good tasting. That is really good in Taiwan. That's why it is Taiwanese favorite food as well. Did he try with soy milk so match! Just like pizza with coke lol... That's one of my question to you guys. How is it to living in a house that was built with cement lol... I bet you might feel it's quiet that you won't hear your neighbor's speaking or you can jump really hard at home which you might need to adjust it back when you are back to the State later on. That's consider as moving. You should hire professional moving truck lol... Make sure you take some photos about the brand or some info note so that you can find it in the future.
